When words cannot contain what feelings do. Sometimes I am silent in awe, silent in wonder. Sometimes I am silent to hold a secret. When I took this picture of my friend, she was harboring a big secret. Perhaps the biggest one there is. She was pregnant.
The clown with its red nose and the secret behind a breath, likewise. The circus has so many different characters, and I love using it as a medium for interpreting emotions and stories. Vintage costumes, stripes, dots, wigs, and makeup. Something ordinary suddenly becomes just that simple. An entire circus.
The motif is framed by a white border, highlighting the design and giving the image greater depth.
